Solution 1- install the latest updates

For this, you need to go to office.com/setup and login to your account. After this, you need to click on the ‘Install Updates’ option present next to the Office version you are using. Further, you need to follow some essential steps to complete the process.

Solution 2- Disable the add-ins

  1. On your Windows device, click on the ‘Start’ option.
  2. After this, tap on ‘Run’.
  3. In the given space, type ‘Excel /safe’ and then tap ‘OK’.
  4. This will resolve the issue with add-ins.
  5. Now, go to the ‘File’ menu and click ‘Options’.
  6. After this, click ‘Add-ins’ and then select ‘COM add-ins’.
  7. Deselect all the checkboxes for the add-ins.
  8. This will disable it once you click on the ‘OK’ option.

You can now restart Excel and see if it works.

Solution 3- Perform a repair
